The only Dojo in Zurich offering
Kyokushinkai karate along with
K-1 Kickboxing

Training in Kyokushin is built on five core elements:
基本 – Kihon (Basics)
Fundamental techniques — strikes, kicks, and blocks — developed through precision and repetition.
移動稽古 – Ido Geiko (Moving Techniques)
Applying techniques in motion — combining footwork, timing, and coordination while punching and kicking.
型 – Kata (Forms)
Structured sequences of offense and defense. The traditional method of preserving and transmitting karate knowledge.
組手 – Kumite (Free Fight)
Full-contact sparring. The ultimate test of technique, spirit, and endurance — the essence of Kyokushin.

Kickboxing emerged from Japan as a fusion of Kyokushin Karate and Muay Thai, later refined by Dutch fighters into a complete and devastating striking system.
K-1 / Dutch Kickboxing combines:
-
The power and conditioning of Kyokushin
-
The precision of Western Boxing
-
The devastating strikes of Muay Thai
-
Switzerland’s own Andy Hug embodied this path—rising from Kyokushin world champion to one of the most respected fighters in K-1 history.
