About
As the title implies, Kickboxing was named after Dutchmen traveled to Japan to learn Japanese Kickboxing, which was a mix of Kyokushin Karate and Muay Thai. K-1/Dutch Kickboxing, unlike American Kickboxing incorporates techniques from three martial arts: Kyokushin Karate, Western Boxing, and Muay Thai. Switzerland also had his own Kickboxing champion, Andy Hug who became world champion in Kyokushinkai Karate and Seidokaikan Karate before he put on the boxing gloves on.
